We are thankful to live and work in communities across the U.S. and Canada, and we strive to be the best neighbors and corporate citizens possible. We support each other and our communities through charitable giving, volunteer activities, workforce training, and engagement in supplier diversity programs that inspire brighter futures and offer greater opportunities for the people around us.
GIVING BACK, BUILDING BETTER
Charitable Giving and Volunteerism
Across our family of companies, we are proud to support inclusive and diverse organizations that benefit communities.
Partnering with our clients, academic institutions, and community organizations, we invest heavily in skill and career training opportunities across our operating areas.
Job Corps Natural Gas Pipeline Academy
Job Corps helps eligible young people complete their high school education, train for meaningful careers, and find employment – all while providing housing, food, and transportation – at no cost to students. Centuri and NPL helped to develop and facilitate Job Corps’ inaugural natural gas pipeline construction course in Phoenix, Arizona. On the foundation of this success, plans are in motion to replicate the program in additional locations across the U.S.
Nicor Career Academy
NPL partners with Nicor Gas and Quad County Urban League in the Chicagoland area for a six-week job-readiness program that prepares participants for entry-level work in the utility industry.
Northeast Wisconsin Technical College
Centuri is on the advisory board for a nine-month energy program for both gas and electric; locations in Wisconsin and the Northeast.
Centuri supports SkillsUSA in preparing middle school, high school, college, and those enrolled in technical schools with training and opportunities to enter skilled trades businesses.
Southwest Gas College
Centuri is part of the collaboration committee with Southwest Gas and local community colleges to produce direct hires in natural gas operations covering the Las Vegas and Arizona markets.
We work with local suppliers and actively pursue opportunities for minority- and women-owned businesses, including advocacy and mentorship.
