Vice President, Corporate Development

 

Bill is Vice President of Corporate Development for Centuri Group, Inc. He oversees all aspects of Centuri’s merger and acquisition activities.

In his position, Bill is focused on general M&A strategy, target identification, deal analysis, due diligence, integration, and collaboration with the Southwest Gas Holdings corporate development team.

Before joining Centuri, Bill was Vice President of Corporate Development at JET Environmental Technology where he supported the deployment of emissions control technology through acquisitions and partnerships with electric generation and oil & gas refineries. Prior to that, he was Senior Manager of Corporate Development at Exelon Corporation, the largest electric utility in the U.S. There he built an expertise in retail power and gas M&A through management of valuation and diligence to negotiations and approvals. Bill also held Vice President roles at BB&T Bank and UBS Investment Bank where he spearheaded M&A transactions and advised on strategy and financing considerations.

Before his professional civilian career, Bill served in the United States Navy as a Submarine Officer. Certified by the U.S. Department of Energy to operate naval nuclear reactors, Bill led a 40-person team in the daily operations of a $4 billion nuclear submarine in multiple locations. With proven leadership qualities through advancement in rank and successful project management, Bill also advised senior officials on defense strategy, including new initiatives. He is a graduate of United States Naval Academy with a B.S. in ocean engineering as well as graduate work in nuclear power. He later earned an M.B.A. from Tulane University.
